From four months acuity is climbing fast and busier images pay off. Every pattern family the tool has is available at this stage, and the finest features here would have been invisible to the same baby at birth. This is usually where a card stops being the most interesting thing in the room, which is exactly as it should be.

Print at 100%. Choose “Actual size” / “100%” in the print dialog — “Fit to page” resizes the sheet and the size is the whole point.Check your printer once and every card after that comes out right.

Not a medical device. Enrichment and accessibility prints, not a diagnostic or therapeutic tool — for premature, CVI or low-vision care, follow your clinicians. Mount prints where they cannot be pulled down, and never inside a cot with a baby in it (mounting safely).

What is on this page

They do not all appear at every distance, and that is deliberate: past the distance where a single big figure is already as wide as the sheet, the longer-distance versions would be the same drawing at the same size, so6 combinations on this page are not published. For a card that has to work from across a room, pick a repeating pattern: it crops at true scale, so its features keep the size the distance asks for.
