A single ink ribbon winding out from the centre. It reads as one continuous line to follow, which makes it a good scanning target, and unlike the bullseye its spacing is even all the way out.

How this pattern behaves when the distance asks for more than a sheet

Past a certain distance the design the tool wants is wider than the paper. This family crops: the sheet shows the middle of a bigger design, at true size. Every bar, ring or disc keeps exactly the width the distance asks for — a repeating pattern reads the same whether you can see all of it or part of it — which is why spiralcards appear at every distance in this catalogue.
