A square grid of alternating cells: stripes in two directions at once, so it works the same whichever way up you hang it, and it gives more corners per sheet than almost anything else here.

How this pattern behaves when the distance asks for more than a sheet

Past a certain distance the design the tool wants is wider than the paper. This family crops: the sheet shows the middle of a bigger design, at true size. Every bar, ring or disc keeps exactly the width the distance asks for — a repeating pattern reads the same whether you can see all of it or part of it — which is why checkerboardcards appear at every distance in this catalogue.
